CANOEING FOR THE FIRST TIME
I will talk about my first canoeing experience in Paniai Lake. So, it began after my mom told me to take some vegetables to another village. My mother's village is called Uwodege. This is a village located in West Enarotali, Paniai Regency. In this case, we had to go to Kito village, around an hour from Uwodege. This story happened when I was 10 years old. I went with my cousin's sister Dolina to take vegetables, e.g. Casava and pumpkin leaves. I felt excited because it was my first time rowing a canoe. In the middle, I felt really tired, and it made me almost fall out of the canoe. Because of that, my cousin started rowing the canoe by herself. Of course, I felt upset because I could not finish rowing to the other village. Finally, we arrived in Kito and then walked to my cousin's home.
